Doctor Galloway began his dental career in 1972 as a Dental Assistant in the United States Air Force. While serving 4 years of active duty, he also trained as a Dental Hygienist and Dental Radiography Technician. After his honorable discharge in 1976, he completed a two-year program in Dental Laboratory Technology at the Medical College of Georgia.
After graduating, he began work as a laboratory technician in the Dental Materials Science department at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry, and at that time also continued his undergraduate studies at Augusta State University. After several years in Dental Materials Science, he transferred to the Oral Biology department as a Research Assistant and Scanning Electron Microscopist, conducting dentin permeability studies as well as assisting with some of the early implant research.
Dr. Galloway was accepted into the Doctoral Dental program at the Medical College of Georgia in 1984 while also continuing his research duties. At the time of his graduation in 1988, he was one of the top graduating students in clinical achievement and was presented with the student prosthetic award. Dr. Galloway was accepted into several postgraduate programs, including a research doctoral program, but chose to open a private dental practice in southern Georgia, where he practiced for 20 years before opening Dacula Dental Associates in 2006.
Dr. Galloway has taken extensive course work post dental school including three years in Orthodontic training with the United States Dental Institute and in the last few years has taken many hours of training given by Dr. Arun Garg of the University of Miami where he continues his advanced implantology training Master’s Program with Dr. Garg in Miami. Dr. Galloway is a member of several dental organizations including the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, N.D. Dental Association, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, to name a few. Dr. Galloway offers Orthodontic treatment, Implant tooth replacement, and Sedation.
